Our Story
Two islands, a shared vision of quality.
Kiwine is a company founded by two teachers, with offices located in Luonnonmaa, Naantali, Finland —the same island where the President of Finland spends their summers — and in Hawke's Bay on New Zealand's North Island.
The two wine glasses in our logo symbolize our philosophy of taking a moment to sit down, savor, and converse: two countries, two islands, two friends, two aligned minds, two glasses of wine. The kiwi bird between the glasses reflects our deep respect for the homeland of our wines and our commitment to sustainable winemaking. While the geographical distance from Finland to New Zealand is vast, the journey into Finnish wine glasses is exactly the right length.
We founded Kiwine because we felt something was missing. New Zealand is a more multifaceted wine country than its reputation suggests, but the selection available in Finland doesn't fully reflect its potential. Our goal is to broaden this perception and make the true offering of New Zealand available to Finns: high-quality, characterful wines from small, independent producers, crafted responsibly across the country's various regions. In addition, we offer the opportunity to taste these delights from our distant sister nation through our own training and tasting events.
At the heart of our selection lie principles from which we will not compromise:
Quality with Character
Certified Sustainability

We are more than just an importer. We are an expert partner connecting Finnish wine lovers with the authentic tastes of New Zealand.
